Work with Meghan!

Meghan offers editing, notes, and creative consultation services.

Meghan has taught theater and writing to middle schoolers and high schoolers, including leading monologue-writing workshops over Zoom. She has experience giving notes on pilots, plays, memoirs, essays, sketches, and short films. More recently, she edited and coached storytelling pieces for The Theater Project’s Together We Tell events.

She has a keen eye for finding the big idea at the core of a creative project and gives constructive notes that help shape a project around your big idea. She leads structured, but casual discussions about your work that are replete with notes, suggestions, and SO MUCH affirmation. She is happy to work with pitches, outlines, treatments, rough drafts, and polished drafts.

Additionally, Meghan loves helping edit and shape more formal, professional writing. This began with her unofficial job as the person who read her college roommate’s emails to professors. Since then, Meghan has used her recent background in recruiting operations to punch up resumes and cover letters. Having learned how to flex her improv skills in interviews, she is especially passionate about helping people with a creative background flex their skills on their resume for a day job or a career change.

Meghan can edit and refine:

  • Resumes

  • Cover Letters

  • Website Copy

  • Proposals

And provide creative feedback on:

  • Pilots & Treatments

  • Plays

  • Personal Essays

  • Sketches & Solo Material

  • Screenplays for Short Films

  • Ideas jotted down on napkins, but you’re not quite sure yet what it is

Edits on documents start at $20/project over GoogleDocs.

Creative Notes are $70 for a 1 hour session in person or over Zoom. This will include typed notes for you to refer to after the meeting.

What people say about working with Meghan

Creative Services

“Meghan is an enthusiastic and fierce advocate for new work-plays, screenplays, television pilots, sketches, etc. She understands the importance of protecting a writer’s impulse and gives feedback that enhances the writer’s original intent.”

“My favorite thing about getting notes from Meghan is that the notes are always actionable. She points me in a direction that leads me to a place that's better than where I was every time.”

“Meghan has a knack to see what your intention is as a writer within your pieces, affirm that intention and creativity and set you off with a simple but engaging next step for your writing process.”

“Meghan always gives great feedback on any of my writing. Often she will mention casually an idea or correction that will immediately clear a problem that I’ve been struggling with for weeks. I would highly recommend her for your editing needs.”

Resume Services

“I turned to Meghan for resume help when I wanted to prepare to leave the job I've been at for eight years. I hadn't touched my resume in too long and felt like I didn't have a grasp on what people are looking for these days. I knew Meghan had the current knowledge to share, so rather than waste time trying to search the internet for resume help, I used her services, and she didn't disappoint!

A couple things I found really valuable were the way she explained how to include job experience on my resume that doesn't directly relate to what I'm applying to and how to incorporate buzzier terms and give stronger examples of job responsibilities rather than using generic words.
